Cliff Erosion & DSAS · Withernsea
Multi-temporal cliff-line mapping (2003–2025) with custom Python tools and DSAS. Mean retreat 4.72 m/yr across 18 transects. A 20-year projection of 80–113 m.
I'm Elliott Teeling, a Geography undergraduate at Aberystwyth University. I work with satellite imagery and spatial data, and I'm good at turning it into something a person can act on: remote sensing, GIS analysis, and maps that actually explain themselves.
I spent my first year reading Software Engineering and got a 1:1, then switched to Geography. I wanted the coding to be about something I could see and walk through. Remote sensing turned out to be the place those two things meet: you write the analysis, but the answer is a real coastline or a real flood.
More about me →Six case studies covering thermal imagery, glaciers, coastal change, hydrology, and cartography. Each one keeps the full working in, not just the finished map.

The same DSAS method on a defended, hard-rock coast. Mean LRR 0.20 m/yr, showing how sea defences scramble the erosion signal.

Grinnell Glacier between 2009 and 2016. It lost 9.09% of its area, measured from free satellite imagery.

Hierarchical multi-criteria GIS combining physical, environmental and social layers. Site B (Bow Street) recommended.
A full raster hydrology run on an SRTM DEM: fill, flow direction, accumulation, Strahler stream ordering, and watershed delineation across the Dovey catchment.

NASA ARSET training: ECOSTRESS land surface temperature in Google Earth Engine, Random-Forest sharpening to 10 m, and a nighttime urban-heat-island analysis in R.
Analysis of shoreline change across the entire Holderness Coast. Details to be confirmed.
Finished maps and classification outputs. Static maps made in ArcGIS Pro and Google Earth Pro, each built so the main finding reads in a glance.

I'm looking for graduate roles and other opportunities in remote sensing and GIS. I'd like to put my practice to the test.
