Glaciology Mapping Project
Google Earth Pro · Satellite Imagery · Spreadsheet Analysis
- Mapped the extent of Grinnell Glacier across a 7-year period using Google Earth Pro and satellite imagery.
- Created planimetric maps and longitudinal topographic profiles to compare glacier boundaries and elevation change.
- Calculated area change, percentage change, and rate of glacial retreat; interpreted spatial patterns in relation to climatic processes.
Hydrological Terrain Analysis, River Dovey
ArcGIS Pro · Spatial Analyst · Hydrological Modelling
- Derived a complete drainage network from an SRTM digital elevation model using the ArcGIS Pro Hydrology toolbox (fill, D8 flow direction, flow accumulation, Strahler stream ordering).
- Delineated catchment watersheds from snapped pour points and converted the stream network and watersheds to vector and KML outputs.
- Validated the terrain-derived drainage against the real River Dovey in Google Earth and produced a finished cartographic map.
Hospital Site Suitability Analysis, Ceredigion
ArcGIS Pro · Multi-criteria Spatial Analysis
GIS module project using weighted overlay and multi-criteria evaluation to identify optimal hospital locations across Ceredigion, incorporating accessibility networks, population distribution, and land-use constraints.

- Led a team as project manager to develop a technological solution to a societal issue.
- Collaborated to design a user interface in Figma and conducted data-driven research to solve a complex problem.
